Debt Negotiation Services is a separate service from our 75 Day Credit Makeover. This service is for clients who have an outstanding single debt (usually over $5000) and are in a position to pay off the debt, or are able to make disciplined monthly payments on the debt. Many of these clients will be frustrated in trying to deal with creditors themselves.
The clientÕs debt will be negotiated for a one-time charge of $495 per debt negotiation. The average national charge for debt negotiation services is 15% of the debt owned. For a $10,000 debt this would mean a cost of $1500 incurred by the client! At Credit Justice Services, we have three full- time attorneys working to help clients meet their obligations. Our representation helps clients move forward in a positive direction at a reasonable price, without the sacrifice of quality service and attention. It is a unique service for the right client.
We negotiate: COLLECTIONS - JUDGMENTS - TAX LIENS
We help clients:
- Negotiate debt into monthly payment plans
- Negotiate a one-time payment for less than the original debt amount
- Negotiate the removal of the derogatory trade line from the credit report
- Negotiate stopping interest payments.
- Stop harassing phone calls by ruthless creditors
Once a client chooses to use debt negotiation services, the debt negotiation paperwork is submitted to our processing office by the CCC/AE (including client payment information). The file is reviewed by the attorneys. If the attorneys determine the client can be assisted, the client will then be charged the $495 fee (this process takes about seven business days). Some clients cannot be assisted and will not be charged the fee of $495. In the first step of actual negotiation, the attorney sends out a Òletter of representationÓ (this process takes about seven business days). Then the execution of the actual negotiation begins between the Credit Justice Services out side attorneys and the creditor (this process normally takes three months). If resolution is not achieved, the attorneys will then personally coach the client to further exercise their rights under Fair Debt Collections Practice Act (FDCPA) to work for resolution.
In about three months the client is moving in a positive direction with a plan toward debt resolution.
